Earlier in the episode, she was diagnosed with muscle desmitis and subsequently forced into rehab. She tries to put on a show in front of Teio but inevitably loses it.

    1. This is what peak storytelling is, bcs for McQueen here it's not just about the injury or the ending of her running career it's also about the fact that she couldn't keep her promise with Teio who both got repeatedly injured and that it kept prolonging their promise to race each other once again that's what truly broke her, their friendship and rivalry meant that much more than just the injury

    2. This scene hurt to watch. McQueen felt like hers and Teio's dreams ended because she couldn't hold on anymore. I think this is how she actually felt the whole time, and only pretended to be stoic and maintain the "I'm going to keep running" façade because it was a convenient excuse to run and hide. She really loves Teio and respect her, and didn't want to show weakness even though she was so hurt inside.

    3. Honestly, both Machico's and Oonishi Saori's (Teio's and McQueen's seiyuus respectively) performance in Umamusume season 2 is probably one of the best voice actings in anime I've ever seen this past decade. All of those sad and happy moments for both characters, they actually killed it, also their voice types compliment each other so well. Their chemistry is just 💯

I just have no words on how reliable Oonishi Saori is, she's just soooooo good. Also mad respect to Machico for being able to actually did all of that as Teio (especially that one scene in ep 9 bruh) since I believe it was her first main role as a seiyuu.

    4. One thing i love about Teio's alt skin is it resembles a phoenix. phoenix turn to ashes when they dies and then reborn from the ashes, just like Teio recover from her injuries she reborn with new motivations and dreams.

As for Mcqueen her alt skin resembles an Angel, probably because her irl owner said "This horse (Mcqueen) could soar to heaven).

However Mcqueen's skin could also resembles a dove, which is a symbol of devotion. that fit for her determination to fulfil her promise to Teio

    5. One of the emotional moment in season 2,alongside Teio sadness,Saori Onishi truly manage to make McQueen Cry touch people heart here

Also the fact that this video posted a day after McQueen seiyuu having a birthday is a big coincidende i like😊
