◆Warning about false teachers 2:1 Once there was a false prophet among the people. In the same way, there must be false teachers among you. They secretly brought heresies that would bring about destruction and rejected the Lord who redeemed them. He brings rapid destruction to himself, 2:2 And many people imitate their own sloppy pleasures. The path of truth is proved for them. 2:3 They are greedy and will prey on you with lies. Judgment against these people has been carried out indeed since ancient times, and their destruction will not be stopped. 2:4 God did not relent the angels who had sinned, but he bound them with the ropes of darkness and handed them over to hell, where they were locked up for judgment. 2:5 And God did not relent the people of old, but caused a flood in the world of unbelievers, and protected Noah and the eight of them who preached righteousness. 2:6 And God has turned Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, and destroyed them and punished them, and then showed them to the unbelievers. 2:7 But God rescued Lot, the righteous man, who was troubled by the lewd words and actions of the immorals. 2:8 For this righteous man, when he lived among them, he saw and heard devilish actions every day and was wretched by the righteous heart. 2:9 The Lord believes that while he will deliver those who are very faith from trials, he should punish those who are not righteous and keep them locked up until the day of judgment. 2:10 In particular, those who walk according to the flesh as their unclean lusts do, and who underestimate authority are treated in this way. They are not brazen, selfish, and glorious. 2:11 And despite their power and authority, the angels do not oppose or plead against them before the Lord. 2:12 These are the same rational animals born to be captured and killed, and they defies things they do not know. Just as these animals die, they die. 2:13 Those who do unrighteousness will receive rewards worthy of unrighteousness. They look forward to indulging in pleasure from the daytime. They are like dirt and dirt, and when they are connected to the banquet, they will remove their garrison and make a fuss. 2:14 His eyes constantly seek a man of adultery, and they are sinful insatiable. They seduce people who are uncertain, their hearts become cursed children, drowning in greed. 2:15 They wandered away from the right path, and followed the path that Balam the son of Bosor had walked. Balaam liked the blessing of injustice, and 2:16 And he was condemned for his mistake. The unspeakable asses spoke in a human voice, halting this prophet’s insane behavior. 2:17 These are the dried springs, the mists blown away by the storm, and there is a deep darkness prepared for them. 2:18 They will make meaningless utterances. They also seduce those who have finally come out of their lives of confusion with flesh and lewd fun. 2:19 While promising to give them freedom, he himself is a slave of destruction. A man is obedient to the one who defeats him. 2:20 If we know our Lord, our Savior Jesus Christ, and escape the filth of the world, but are reeled and defeated by it, then the later state of those people will be much worse than before. 2:21 It would have been better for them to know the way of righteousness than to leave the holy commandments that have been passed down to them. 2:22 And what happens to them is what the proverb says: “The dog will come back to what he has vomited,” and “The pig will wash its body and roll around in the mud.”
