hey it's the friend of all children everywhere
Love the old monster movies
"Latitude 84…." Near the North Pole? Hope they want 8point4.
That witch we don't understand,we fear and that witch we fear,we destroy
This isn't the original. It's the Americanized version.
When I first saw this movie and the part where Gamera was awakened by the explosion of that Atomic bomb reminded me of the same thing that happened in the movie 'The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms' where the title monster was revived in the exact same way.
Anyone find it funny that they spelled his name with 2 m's in this movie but in later films it's only with one m.
I'm Still Waiting For The Gamera Vs Godzilla Showdown!
I love the beautiful Harumi Kiritachi and it's great to hear the voice of Peter Fernandez in the dubbing cast!
Godzilla and Gamera were created by the Japanese.
This is how America tries to steal the originality of other countries and make it their own. It's been that way for a long time.
Gammera loves children. He sprinkles them on his ice creme.
Poor Toshi. Lonely in a lighthouse, no friends, only a turtle for a playmate.
Can't have that. The school and parents decide he is not lonely enough.
So make him give up the only thing he loves. Its good for him. ???
This gets me in the mood to watch Attack of the Mushroom People.
38:02 I never noticed before but Gamera looks just like a stink bug from behind
ALL HAIL DESTRUSTIVE TULTULA!
The question I always wondered for so many years since I was a small child, is how and why did DAIEI, the Japanese film company that created this ever popular Prehistoric Turtle Monster, come up with the idea that the deadly Atomic Bomb explosion released GAMERA after Thousands of Years of Captivity in the frozen thick glacier, according to the Ancient Ancestors of the Eskimos in the Artic Region?
At the same time when Gamera was freed, the Atomic-Nuclear Bomb had no affect on Gamera. Yet, later on in the movie and when the second Gamera movie was released a year later called
"GAMERA VS. BARUGON" in 1966,
it was said that Gamera is attracted and feeds on any form of heat or light energy, similar to the Atomic-Nuclear Bomb detonated on Gamera in the original first movie in 1965. Even lightning bolts from the sky makes the Turtle Monster re-energized and strong again, including radiation.
Now with all this said and done,
doesn't this original GAMERA movie of 1965 by Daiei, have similarities to the original GODZILLA "GORJIRA" movie of 1954 by Toho?????
You bet it does!!!!!
But with some twinking, similarities, different explanations and perspectives on both monsters.
Please colorize this
This was based on a true story!!!😊
What happened when Quinn the Eskimo got there.
Talk about workplace harassment.
I'm glad Gammera didn't die at the End.
