Although they are of completely different bloodlines, these two horses are often treated like partners because of their names (they say “Laughing Gates Bring Good Fortune”) The mother, Athena Tosho, and father, Crystal Glitters, had an older brother who was three years older than the horse, and although he died as a foal from an injury, he was considered to have a promising future. Machikane Fukukitaru, born to the same parents three years later, grew steadily, but was considered less worthy than his older brother. (By the way, the name of his father, Crystal Glitters, means shining crystal. There is also a theory that the reason Fukukitaru, the horse of the Uma Musume, has a crystal is because of his father.) However, as if to dispel such worries, Fukukitaru gradually showed signs of success, and in the 1997 Kobe Shimbun Hai with Katsumi Minai as jockey, he overtook the leading Silence Suzuka with a final kick from the final corner to win, and in the following Kyoto Shimbun Hai, despite being at a disadvantage along the way, he broke away in the final straight to take first place. After winning two consecutive trials, he went on to compete in the Kikuka Sho, where concerns about his pedigree made him the third favorite, but just like in his previous two races, he made a spectacular overtaking move from the straight to take first place. With three consecutive wins, he brought good fortune to the Kikuka stage. After the Kikuka Sho, she suffered from hoof diseases such as cracked claws, and although she placed second twice at the age of six, she was unable to win. After placing eighth in the Takarazuka Kinen in 2000, she developed right front superficial flexor tendonitis during training and retired from racing. #Machikane Fukukitaru #Kobe Shimbun Hai #Race Reenactment #Uma Musume #Horse Racing #Cygames #Umamusume #AMV #Umamusume #Umamusume Periphery Derby #Horse Racing Girls #Horse Racing Girls Pretty Derby
